Today saw a new wingman for the next Four days, Dave Mellish and he has been great company, well mostly. A different topography today, small rise out of Woolacombe, to Baggy Point, then long stretches of flat generally to the magnificant beach at Croyde Bay, then on to the even more wonderful expanse of beach at Saunton through the golf course and marshlands into Braunton. Bumped into Timetable and Bus Shelter Socks again, could not stop Dave waxing lyrical about the USA, so his trail name is U S, and a lot of people already knew that. 16 plus miles, nowhere near as dramatic but still absolutely wonderful, and the sun shone most of the day.
